 The Basudeo Health Foundation Pvt. Ltd. was established in January 1996 by the collaborative efforts of Col. A.K. Singh, MD(AIIMS), NDC, Medical Director,KLES Hospital, Belgaum(Karnatka), and Dr. Satyajit Kumar Singh , M.S., F.R.C.S., Diplomate Institute of Urology, London to provide medical facilities of international standards to the people of Bihar at most affordable costs.

Ratan Stone Clinic was the Foundation's first project to be inaugrated in November 1996 by the then Governer of Bihar, His Excellency Dr. a.R. Kidwai at Kankarbagh, Patna.Since then, over 4000 patients have been successfully treated for kidney and associated ailments through non-invasive methods like Lithotripsy and minimum invasive methods like PCNL and Ureteroscopic Lithotripsy.The quality of treatment rendered compare most favourably with any standard national or international Nephrology Centre.

 

Spurred by the success of the first project, the Foundation launched its second project “Dr.Ruban Memorial Hospital “ in May 2000 to commemorate the memory of Dr. Ruban Kumar Singh, son of Col. (Retd.) A.K. Singh, who died prematurely in December 1999.  Situated in the heart of the City, at South East Gandhi Maidan, this is a super speciality center of excellence for Treatment of Urology, Nephrology and Gastroenterology.

 Thereafter, Ratan Stone Clinic amalgamated with the hospital and now continues to provide treatment for stones from the same premises as that of the hospital.
